Our Adoption From Ukraine

Monday, October 02, 2006

We are here!!! What a crazy place...it's sooo different from home. We arrived yesterday at 11 a.m. Going though customs we had a very nasty lady who yelled at me in Ukranian....Our facilitator Y took us to our flat, that has no washing machine so I washed socks and undies in the sink....aaahhhh! Y took us to get a phone card and some food. We walked back to our appartment and took a nap from 3:30 to 5:30 and then headed to O'Briens Irish Pub for supper with Bob & Susane, our friends from Birds Hill....I am not sure who was more excited to see friends...us or them. Well we have to take off now, so I will write more later...

told you Kim not to take to much underwear, you can just keep washing one pair all the time, Brad's does not need washing he is a man.

We miss you, but we are so excited and happy that missing you is fine.

don't forget to tell me about the food.

Hey guys!

Congrats!! We're very excited to hear you have arrived! Your discussions of your first flat remind me of my first flat in Vienna. It was 'unique'.

What are the toilets like? Are they bowls, or something with a little less practical/conventional design?

All the best, and we look forward to all of the updates!

Sincerely,
Lee, Treena, Kara and Nolan

Hi Kim!

Sounds like you are having a good time so far (except for grumpy ladies who work at the airport)....that's awesome!
I hope you are taking pictures!!

Also...Just thought I'd let you know that Treena (HR) at work had a baby boy on Oct 2/06 and named him Owen.

Take care!
