Our Adoption From Ukraine

Monday, November 27, 2006

We are officially home. We arrived home on November 21st. This is the first time that I have been able to get onto the computer. The one we had in the house has gone to computer heaven...we have once in our shop, but it's outside and after spending the day with the kids...I just don't have the energy. Nadia and Stasi are starting school on Thursday, so I will get on line then and tell you about the last few days in Lugansk...our time in Kiev....and our problems getting home!!!

Thanks for the quick update. I have been thinking about you and praying that your transition home has been smooth. Can't wait to hear more.

Thank goodness! I was starting to worry!

First day of school - that's tough. Andrew thought we were leaving him at another orphanage!

Hey Guys,

We're eagerly awaiting the tale of 'the missing days'. Quite honestly, I'm a little afraid to hear it all.

If you need a new computer though, I can probably help you find a solution.

Please let me know!

Congratulations! We adopted our two sons (now ages 5 and almost 7) from Ukraine about 20 months ago. The first few weeks home were hard on us parents' energy flow, but then some sort of switch flipped and we adjusted. So hang in and just relax and enjoy, and you will adjust before you know it and you won't feel worn out at 8 pm anymore!

Again congratulations!

Congratulations. I have been tracking your blog for a while. My wife and I are going through the same process, although our adventure is just beginning. We leave Winnipeg on December 8th and our appointment is December 12th. Thanks for the wonderful idea as well...I started our own blog using the same site. As far as being busy and tired on your return...consider the alternative. Right now, I have lots of free time and I am getting reasonable amounts of sleep. I can't wait to trade that for what lies in store for us.

Hi Kim & Brad,

I was just thinking about you, as it was the kids first day of school in Canada. So many 'firsts' to discover as a family.

Can't wait to see photos!

Take Care, Tammy
